Together We Grow

At Cherrelyn Elementary students learn through real world and hands-on learning experiences.

About

Cherrelyn's focus on STEAM education offers students hands-on, STEAM infused lessons that enhance what students are already learning. In addition to art, music and PE, students attend STEAM classes twice per week. 

Clubs and Activities

Cherrelyn offers students a variety of after school clubs and activities for students as well as before and after school onsite childcare.

Academics

Cherrelyn students learn all of the core subjects of English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as Art, Music and P.E. Additionally, all Cherrelyn students attend STEAM classes twice per week.

Cherrelyn offers high-quality full day kindergarten that allows students an opportunity to experience core academics and specials like music, art and P.E.

STEAM

STEAM is incorporated in everything we do at Cherrelyn. Additionally, Cherrelyn students attend a STEAM class in our state-of-the-art SmartLab twice per week. 

Free Oral Health Screenings for K& 3rd Graders!

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Oral Health Unit is piloting a school-based oral health screening program to address the rise in tooth decay among children (Senate Bill 24-142). If you are interested in a free oral health screening program for your school's kindergarten and 3rd-grade students during the 2025-2026 school year, please complete this online interest form.

What's Happening

Englewood Schools Choice Enrollment

First Round Enrollment:

  • Opens: December 1st
  • Closes: January 19th

Second Round Enrollment:

  • Opens: February 1, 2026
  • Closes: August 31, 2026

 

Who Needs to Complete a Choice Application? If you currently live or plan to move outside of the Englewood School District boundaries, or outside of the Cherrelyn Elementary catchment area, you must complete the Choice Enrollment application as well as the online registration. If you are unsure about your residency, please view the boundary map listed here.

Important Grade-Specific Requirements:

5th Grade to Middle School: Current 5th-grade students who wish to attend Englewood Middle School for 6th-grade must complete a Choice Application.

6th Grade to 7th Grade:

  • In-Boundary: If your current 6th-grade student lives within the district boundary, you must submit the standard online registration and an updated proof of residency.
  • Out-of-Boundary: If your 6th-grade student currently lives out of boundary (even if they were Choice Enrolled this current school year), they must submit a Choice Application for the transition to 7th grade.

Please Note: We strongly encourage submitting your application(s) in a timely manner, as spots are first come, first serve. In addition to the Choice Application, please remember that the standard online registration will open on January 14th, 2026, and must be completed in your Parent Portal each year as well.
